Snow and Projects and 3 Dotters Too!

Monday was pretty low key. I took this pic of the desk for IG that day. Otherwise I blogged, cleaned house, finished reading my book club book and went with Dad to the care center to host FHE. It turned out to be chatting and snacks because after an hour of searching he and the staff were unable to find the remote so they could see Meet the Mormons.

On Tuesday I went to Jann's to make the covers for the smash books we'd made to house Christmas photos

Here's a close up of mine.  Then I drove over Traverse ridge for the first time, in order to meet Arlene for a session at the Draper  temple and then dinner!  Fun day. I did get  in some junking on the way home and Dad beat me home from his temple shift!

Wednesday was snowy and pretty.  I had to stand outside on the deck for 5 minutes waiting for a red car to come by for my photo. Since when are all cars black, white and tan?

I added a bit to my valentines decor, which in this case meant pulling the green out of this display.  I also started on some projects for the 3 Dotters Market.

I even made some yummy veggie soup for dinner!

On Thursday I finished these projects I'd started Wednesday before work and in the evening. I also did a torn strip banner at work.

After work I  went home/visiting teaching with a couple of ladies at the assisted living place with Dad.

After that he dropped me off at Relief Society.

On Friday I finished up projects ... Like painting these old bottles of been unable to get clean.  It worked they sold.

And ran out for color copies for a mailbox makeover I was doing.  While out I stopped at Rebecca Peery's Art Show at Peteetneet.  Iris Madsen, the bishop's mother, was the docent and we had a nice chat.

I loved this painting of a scene in Juno, but the 750 price tag was more than I felt I could spend on myself.

After that I was kind of killing time, so Dad could meet me for show set up and I made this wreath from a Christmas one I'd gotten for 75% off   I pulled out the lime green and added the red and white stripes. Voila Happy Valentines!

I finally met Dad in Pleasant Grove a bit after four and he helped haul in while I set up!   This is half of my set up. The torn fabric garland on the right includes fabrics from my girls dresses that I made many many years ago. How fun is that?

Here they are in their dresses.

On Saturday I was off before Dad headed out for his run. I finished prices and the show began...  Here I am with Lyn my new buddy!  She's so fun!!
I bought this lamp from her that her son and his son made.  He does several of these steam punked lamps for every show and always sells out!

Here they are with a finished lamp and done gages for an upcoming lamp.

My friend Kim came by too .

I laughed when she showed me the art kit she'd bought from Jenn. It included a picture Jenn had bought from Wendy (47-W) back when Wendy was in the mall. Isn't it funny that I should know all three of the most recent owners of this photo?

Becca came by to visit fit a while too, which I always love.  Of course I got to see Nell when she helped set up and again when she came to take down. It was so fun to have her back with me, as she'd missed the last two 3 Dotters!

Besides a good long run, dad also managed to work on the staircase walls in prep for painting, as well as a few other details for our bedroom

He and I got everything hauled out in time to meet the growing group of Heuers and Moes et al for dinner before we headed to the Hale for a play!  Of course we always love these chances to socialized with our favorite people!

On Sunday I went to the care center for sacrament meeting before heading to our ward where I got to sit with Scott and hear Brittney and Spencer speak. I got several positive comments from ward members on what a nice job they'd done.

We got home for naps and then tidying up before Brittney and Spencer hosted family dinner here

They made Chicken and Waffles, a southern favorite, and everyone else brought breakfast foods to go with it.

Here's the chefs in a funky selfie.

It was great to have Brady come, as his shifts have changed but we missed Ben and Hannah (sickness), Darby (too far when she works till 6) and Davin's family (on vacation). That meant we had just half of our usual attendees, but ....

We still managed to ...

have fun ....  Don't they look alike?!?!
Dad showed me this fun picture on FB of Sam as a child, with his family and I wanted to save it!  Sam is in the back on the left.  So here it is! Fun eh?

Mid Winter Fleaology and Mission Papers Too

It was one of those whirl wind weeks that flew by because we were so busy.

Dad spent just about every evening and Saturday doing the final details in the bedroom. He added a doorknob and latch, more trim to doors, and hung the red window turned mirror in the bathroom
My week started with a frosty walk with LaVern.
At home I took pics of my arrows to post   Then got things together for Fleaology.
On Tuesday Carolyn stopped by to visit. Please note that my tree was still be up, but the decor was down.
Here I am painting this stool for us, but other things got painted red for Fleaology.
Then it was time to get scrubbed up to go to ward temple night.  Dad, of course, was working his shift, but came by the celestial room afterwards to quietly greet ward members and me.
On Wednesday, besides more hunting, gathering and painting, I was doing advertising and took pictures of stuff I was planning to sell. This shelf sold at Fleaology.
At work Wednesday I redid the front booth, in what else, red and white.

We added comic hearts too.
That night we were off to the Campbell's daughter's wedding. Here I am with Heather.
And Dad ....

On Friday I spent the whole day loading the van and setting up Fleaology. Nell came to take over and Dad and I headed home.

Scott was supervising munchkins there , which is always fun.
Back at Olsons at 6:00 yawn A.M.
These chairs sold
Dad dropped by on his run.
All these girls came to visit too, as did Spencer and Britney.
My art group friends Jann and Joanne did a booth, and we're very successful!
At the end of the day and still loading out, Nell and Penny take a break.
Dad and Trevor are our muscle men
After clean up we headed to Highland for the Vernon's wedding. Here is Dad with Scott Vernon I think he was looking good. He was Dad's executive secretary back in Item days. You may recall that we bought our second Orem house from them.

Afterwards we headed to Trina's house where Barb and Randy are living and played games.  Always fun!

On Sunday I taught my lesson and then afterwards Dad and I met with the bishop to start our missionary papers .... Though it has nothing to do with actual papers anymore.
Here we are with Bishop Madsen.
Back home, after dinner these cute kids came up and joined us for a visit.

3 Car Repairs, 2 Parties and a Flooded Basement

On Monday I spent the day completing my smash book goal journal.

Scott got word the blue van was done and had a new fuel pump.

After work he and Spencer hauled the Nissan over to Joel's ... It turned out to be the starter.

When they got home there was flooding in the basement again.  The plumber agreed to bring his jetter the next day, in the end it would cost us a total of almost $700 to get the water flowing

On Tuesday I had a day out with Sherri and her daughter Katie. We found tons of goodies at a DI in SLC
Sherri was thrilled with this rug for $15.
Then we all went to tea at Kim's house.  Sherri had missed seeing Kim's holiday decor, thus the special belated winter tea.

Dad's going to help me make a table like this for our bedroom.

On the way home we stopped at a few places including Block 100 in Provo. It's been there a year, but this was my first visit.
On Wednesday I painted several things including this door on my laundry press

When Dad got home, he installed these knobs in our new bathroom.  So cute. Thanks Brittany
I worked Thursday and Dad came and helped me clear out the booth I'm giving up to be able to work less.

On Friday we picked up the white van on  Dad's way to work. Then I spent the entire day cleaning up and working stuff into my other booths at the mall.
That night we met with others from Dad's temple shift.
It was fun to get to meet some of them.
Saturday morning I went to the garden shop to plot out a floor plan for Fleaology on the 16th
Dad got in his first run in 80 days. He went 4 miles!  Good job!!

He then went over and helped other High Priests clean the church
Next we took the tile saw back to Clark. This is Kim's almost completed house, kind of next door. We had fun touring and visiting.
Trevor and Nell took this picture of the house being built on grandma and grandpa's former property in Cottonwood.
When we got home Dad framed in the little closet door in our new room
On Sunday we had a family party at Trevor and Nell's

Here's our Boo, not a bit afraid of the 'monster'.
A storm trooper?
Just Titan...
Lots of baby and toddler snuggling

Afterwards we went to Scott's court of honor.
He was in charge as the Senior patrol leader
Trevor's the scout master!

Hope your week was better than ours.
