Monday was moving day. Thats right, the guys had a workday at Mosida and moved the shade structure, from a tree shaded area to a sunny area ... lots of work there.

and then Dad spent Tuesday working on his own structure at home.
It's coming along nicely.
Then he's back at Mosida on Wednesday, where they burned trimmings.

On Tuesday while I was out junking I got to do some virtual shopping at IKEA with Abigail and her Mom in Texas.
Abby is definitely a fan and didn't seem to mind the 'marching parade around every square inch of the store.' She said, "It's fun, Mimi, like a maze."
I went to pick up my painting by Kristin Tye at Heirloom Art in the Riverwoods on Tuesday ... I was enchanting by their umbrella shade.
Moons Antique Books is right next door, so I dropped in to find that my friend Sherry Phair was working. This s a selfie of us in the Alice In Wonderland room.

Next, I went to The Grove to work on my booth a bit and add some new stuff.
The lamp took some time to clean up, someone had dribble paint on it.
I stopped and got some white ironstone from Treasures, to see if people were interested in buying it at The Grove.
I also gathered all the pink items onto one shelf.
Meanwhile Elias was enjoying fun at his birthday party.
A good time was had by all at Abravanel Hall as well.
At work on Wednesday this gentleman mentioned he was from Davis County, so when I heard him giving some legalish advice on the phone a minute later ... (It rang when he was checking out, so I couldn't not hear.) I asked if he knew Uncle Ross ... he said Ross was his best friend. Later Ross said that Edward had been on the Davis County Investigation Team for ten years before Ross joined it, but they worked together for around 20 years. it was fun to fake out Ross by sending this pic to him with no explanation.

I had book club at my house that night. We had read Lessons in Chemistry, which we all liked. Here are Suzanne, Lilly, KD and Carolyn.

Early on Thursday I had an appointment to preview Tiffany's antique sale in Santaquin.
She is so talented.
I bought the baby plate on the top left in the back ... Jack and Jill.
I added the pumpkin pillow I got from Tiffany to the witch pillow I had gotten at The Grove two days before.
I bought the girl cat on the left from her, only to find, on Thursday at work, that I had her spouse in my display. I made a new tag and they are selling for one price now, so they can be together again.
Here's some work I did on my Halloween display.
I brought in the witch and pumpkin sign next to the blue apron, from Tiffany's sale, and sold it within an hour.
I also got this sweet, embroidered nursery rhyme quilt wall hanger for a baby's room, I had just gotten from Tiffany.
After work Dad and I headed to Becca's monthly event, Designs and Desserts.

They told us that Becca had secured some new fabric from her Aunt Nina's fabric stash. Nina is moving to an assisted living place, and Becca had asked if she had more of the fabric she'd made the Disney Baby Quilt out of, she'd given Titan at a shower 13 years ago. The quilt has always been Madi's favorite, in fact a couple of years ago, I took it home, cut it down, mended rents in it and rebound it ... Becca got Krista (Barb and Randy's daughter) to do a rush job making it into a quilt for Madi's birthday.
today. (Sunday) Madi was beyond thrilled.
On Friday morning it was off to Salem Pond for some Kayaking in the sunrise with Ann and Janey. Wow!
I worked at The Grove on Friday, and this lady randomly fell in love with this old scouters red vest. She bought it to wear for Halloween. It just made me laugh.
While I was working, Dad took Front Runner up to Ogden to enjoy some activities with the Barbershop Quartet Society competition there. He was able to go to a former Finnish Missionary's wedding reception, that was also in Ogden and just a ten-minute walk away. The Hotel where the Convention/Competition was being held was only ten minutes from the train station, though it did rain on him ... sorry honey.
I feel awful I missed seeing the wonderful Londons, but Dad was thrilled to get to see them.
When I got off at The Grove, I drove up to Ogden and checked into the hotel. Dad had an evening event at the convention and joined me at the hotel where we were staying, later.
I saw this wonderful piñata that Brady made for Madi's birthday party on FB, because he couldn't find a Stich Piñata online. Isn't he amazing?

Meanwhile, back in Ogden, I dropped Dad at the venue, then went to DI until it was time for the chorus competition. I made a nice haul of books, there, and then saw these lovely flower beds at the Ogden Municipal building, as I was walking to the Egyptian theater where the competition was being held.
The theater is just amazing. I'm guessing it was built in the 1920's as there was a huge Egyptian decor rage at the time after the opening of Tutankhamun's tomb in 1922.

His friend Jan Vanderhooft now sings with the Ogden Chorus, who donned their pirate costumes for a very entertaining couple of numbers. Jan's in the red sleeveless jacket on the front towards the right.

I left after the Chorus Contest, while they all went to evaluation meetings with the judges ... There was a street fair on my way to the car, and they had this mushroom vendor. The far right mushrooms grow wild in Finland, chanterelles, a favorite of all .... here they were $32 a pound.
Right across from the mushrooms was our friend Abigail's Bakery, from Spanish Fork. I got a loaf of Jalapeno Cheese, which is always a good choice.
But I thought this guy definitely had the most eye-catching outfit there.
While munching on that good Abigail's bread I drove over to Abby's Antique Mall. My friend Noel used to sell there, and even work there, I think. I sadly didn't find a thing. Mostly they have the goods that were in demand in the 1990's and seemed a little pricy to me.
Then it was back to the Theater for the quartet contest. Things have definitely changed since we attended the international convention in SLC back in 2019 before our second mission. There was one quartet that was all women, and the other one with 3 guys and a gal, actually one first place.
Here's our photo of an Ogden street horse to honor Darby's Dallas, who had to be put down this week. Darby's been pretty sad about that, as it was so sudden, and she's had him for almost 10 years. Fortunately, her friends and siblings connected to comfort her, and she seems to be doing fine.
Today is my mother's 106th anniversary of her birth. It also Madi's 8th anniversary of her birth. This is the collage Dad posted on Face Book in her honor.

And with all the Abby/Abigail stuff going on this week, I had to show this picture of our own Abigail Olson in Relief Society this morning, as she participates in an object lesson. We were talking about trials, and the bottom foundation blocks are labeled with prayer, faith, etc, as in building our foundation on Christ. Then we went up and pulled out the Jenga blocks while mentioning trials we have endured. She said she wanted to do 2 trials, and said they were Infertility, and Pregnancy. It was a great lesson by Margo Blue.
After church Van finally got to come down to add some Turkey Vulture feathers to his collection. He was quite delightful to interact with.

She also got to swing, compliments of her Mom. Then Van helped pick Zucchini to take home, and we went into the house for popsicles and cookies, before playing a rousing game of hide and seek.
Later it was fun to go to Becca and Brady's for a Birthday Dinner with Madi. We got a tour of the amazing new renovations to their bath and closet. Here Reagan demonstrates the tub, as well as a small soap eating demo, for fun.

We got to meet Abish ... their new Nanny from Bolivia. She is from Santa Cruz, where Davin served his mission. Now she doesn't go by Abby, but sometimes Emily calls Abby Abish, so just sayin.

It's so beautiful.
