Dad's Release, Darby's Birthday and Easter

Here's a few pictures from our less than memorable week.

On Monday I had my mammogram.  Almost ready to turn in papers.
Here I am at the care center for our last FHE.   We knew they were reorganizing the branch presidency even then.
Here's Dad with a couple of other residents.
I worked Tuesday and made up a batch of these hang tags for the upcoming 3dotters show. Dad had his temple shift.
On Wednesday Dad headed back to St George to help with their grand opening.
I worked on the craft room and made this torn stamped "ribbon", again for 3Dotters.
I worked again Thursday, here you see that I've taken my dessert rose to sell.   After work I had book club.
On Friday I went to lunch with this beauty for her birthday.
I love that she chose cafe rio, such a sweet girl!

In the afternoon I met with Dr Robert Clark to go over my visits to specialists and my blood tests. He sending in my medical papers now!

That night Dad got back from St George and we had takeout sushi at home then headed to the water gardens in Spanish  to see Eddie the Eagle, which we liked quite a bit.
On Saturday I worked again. I took these pictures for an Instagram challenge. 9 pics that represent Easter.

While I was slaving away Dad joined Davin, Bri, Trevor, Nell and Darby for her birthday lunch number 2.

Dad was nice and brought me a take out lunch!!  He's the best!

After work Dad and I took the Kews for movie torture. We saw Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. They liked it pretty well and we finished off the day with dinner at Denny's.

Dad and I had an appointment with the stake presidency second counselor at 8:45 this morning,  where he was released from the branch presidency.

We both attended church then came home to get ready for Easter dinner.
Here's the table.
And here's Dad who did all the cooking setting butter  on the second table!
After dinner there was some visiting time ...
This is the only picture we happened to get of Spencer and Brittney. Sorry it's so bad!! But here it is for history's sake!
Then it was time for the hunt!  See the hunters?
And here's the hiders!  Everyone's favorite bunnies!!  They even got an egg to stay in the knot of one of the big trees.

This is the loot!
Just thought I'd share some fun pictures Emily texted us this week!!
How cute is this!!

So that was our mundane week. Hope your was fun filled!!

Bam Bam and the Ribbon Cutting.

Here we go. Another week has gone by and Dad is home for good. This was his last week in St George!   I spent Monday decorating my table, reading, cleaning, making banners...
And finished the day by watching 1/2 of the 6 hour Pride and Prejudice.
Here's the plastic Easter egg banner.
On Tuesday I had art group.
I made this potato masher nest ...
Here's Kim's treasure.
The food added up to a veritable buffet.
We also made these little banners, mine is the bottom one.  Of course that made for a banner week for me! (That pun is especially for Jeff)

I got home in time to make Cheryl's dinner and then read until Scott got home from his temple shift. So glad he came home for it every Tuesday during his month at the St George store?!  It meant the only day I didn't see him at all was Thursday's!!
On Wednesday Bri posted this picture of Elias' service. He made the girls' breakfast in bed. How cute is he?
I could have used some breakfast in bed my self, as I was still nursing my laryngitis and feeling a bit off, after 10 days of it. However I did get my arrow hung...
And took down my snowman mantel ...  I finished the book I was reading for book club, did some laundry and watched the rest of Pride and Prejudice.
On Thursday  I put together this collage for St Patrick's for IG and went to work. I was exhausted when I got home and fell asleep in my chair about 7. Yikes. I woke up and went to bed at 9:30. Unfortunately I also woke up for good at 3:00 A.M.
On Friday I finally made myself list on Ebay. Here they are Pebbles and Bambam.  Yeah.
I also made these sheep and mushrooms in anticipation of the 3 Dotters sale next month.
Dad meanwhile, was finishing up the St G store, I loved this cool produce display.
But he was ready for the ribbon cutting!  Then he hopped in the car and raced home ...

So we could meet Barb and Randy for dinner at Red Lobster and then games at our house!!
That night Dad put on his PJs and said ... "I'm going to disappear in the bed now!"  So funny!!

Saturday was party, party, party!   Dad headed to the stake center to clean up for the Provi temple dedication today that will be broadcast there.
I headed to Trish's for a special cancer treatment fund raiser.
I loved that, because when else could I buy myself a beautiful, sterling silver shell  cameo and not feel guilty!  Note the price tag is from when she and I were in business together and shared the number 230. So very long, long ago!
I stopped at the grocery store on the way home  so I could rush home and make a green salad for our Ward Springtime party!
I love this selfie by Manae Madson, the bishops niece, taken after Ginny Taylor left her phone on and ran to start the toddler egg hunt. Manae took this and posted it to Ginny's IG acount. Too funny.
On the way home, the Kews and we stopped to check out the Peck's  flip!  I love the stone!
Then Darby came by to show off her new car.
We drove it over to show it to the Metcedes loving Kews!  It's a beautiful car, and Darby paid cash!  Awesome!

At home I was exhausted and Dad and I both took a two hour nap ... It's tough being old and loving to party!
Then we headed to BamBam's BBQ in Orem, just to get us some Texas on and to talk about getting BBQ with Emily and Sam!!  We met up with Moes and Heuers and got the news that Kelsey and Zach found out their residency is in Virginia. Yeah!
Then we all headed to the Hale to see a wonderful production of Joseph!  I wish I could see it again!  But it was so sold out that they added some 10:00 PM shows and also extra matinees. So not going to happen!!
Today was the dedication of the Provo Town Center temple. We went to the last session at the Stake Center at three. It was very nice, the spirit was strong   Otherwise it's been a quiet day.

St George Store and Vintage Whites

On Monday I worked, made dinner for Cheryl, took this picture to use on IG sometime and attended FHE at the Kews.  Dad worked on the new store in St George all week
OnTuesday I took care of a stack of bills/correspondence I'd procrastinated and went to the Mt Timpanogos temple with Arlene before having dinner at Zupas.

Dad came home from St George to do his shift at the temple, so I got a bit of time with him in the evening. 😊
On Wednesday I spent the morning getting the goods back into the craft room. I'm about half way now!

Then I took down the rest of Valentines and Dr Suess decor and put up Easter goodness

I'd called Dad about the new exits proposed for Payson and he said to go talk to CoraLee, my neighbor in the other historic house. She came back over with me to see the Garret. We noticed these English violets ... Must be spring.

I also saw the eye doctor about my side flashes and he could find no retinal tears. Yeah!
On Thursday morning I headed to the radiothon. Trevor and Nell were there too. Here Trevor fills out a donation for Darby. With about 28 volunteers chances were slim she'd get a family member.

Here I am with the ever bright Amanda!

Next I headed to a couple of DIs and picked up some goodies from a friend before heading to Treasures to work a half day. !
In the evening I went to Relief Society and sat across from these girls.
And next to these. It my was super fun.

On Friday I finally brought down the brown transferware from the library and filled the china cabinet in the dining room.
I'm loving it!
That night Dad and I went to Hu Hot in Spanish  and then to see ...
Which we both liked a lot!  Surprisingly!
Early Saturday I headed to Salt Lake with Wendy to the Vintage Whites Market.  We got there about 45 minutes early.
Here we are with one of the show organizers.  Afterward we had lunch at Cafe Rio and stopped at Trader Joes where I bought some unopened ....
Daffodils. I cut off the stem bottoms and put them in water and here they are the next day!!  I'm going to try it with some from my garden.

Sunday meetings were lovely and uplifting!   We're trying to follow the prophet's guidance and to honor the sabbath. So I did some blogging (family history) read church related books and spent time visiting family. OK and a very short nap too!
We had family dinner at Becca and Brady's new house that night, she had a pasta bar, which was a hit.   Penny shows off her giant marble eating skills here. Such a fun baby.

We all got into looking up real estate stuff, which is always fun. The kids played in the huge back yard and cried when they were brought in to go home!

It was the perfect homey ending to a fun filled week. Though all the physical labor is really getting to Dad. The irony is that Dad worked towards the head office when he was younger because he didn't think he'd be able to be a store manager as an older man. Now, though, he's in the head office, he does some pretty hard physical work.   Well this is his last week, hang in there Dad, we love you!
