Bubba Willy, by way of Lubbock

The week started with Dad taking down the light fixtures in our room ....

because we wallpapered our sleeping alcove.

That night we went to see Freaky Friday, staring, in the pink hair, Hannah Bibler, who is one of our young women in the ward.  If you've followed for a long time, you will remember when I bought two young women to help me with gardening 5 years ago at a Young Women's Camp auction.  She was one of those two, and I have followed her ever since.

We went with the Phillips.  Cheryl is the Young Women's president I served with before this last mission, and Kenton is the Elder's quorum president that Dad is serving with now.

On Tuesday Dad went to work on Darby's basement again, because I was going to my craft group.  This is my friend Jann's house in Alpine.

My friend Kimi loved this sweet applique quilt and wanted a picture.

Here's our crafting table.

Our buffet table.

And a few pictures of Jann's Easter decor.

Here we are ... what fun to see them all again

At work on Wednesday, when Dad was at Darby's house again, I found this cute faux church window at the mall.

I redid half of one of my booth for a king of cabin look.

Dad put up the green window in place of the red star that was there previously.

Here are most of the changes we made to the bedroom.

We left Thursday morning to drive to Texas so that we could see William get baptized Saturday.  We stopped in Lubbock, Texas on Friday to see our 67th temple.

We got some missionaries who were on the grounds to take our pictures.

One of the sisters was from Salt Lake City, and had gone to school with one of our missionaries in Finland, so that was fun.

Here we are in front.

Here are Emily and Sam with William, on his birthday, right before the big moment.

There were very few in attendance, as is the new norm.

Dad and Sam's dad gave the talks.

On the way home we drove pass this vehicle, that was fun.

Its hard to believe how old Bekie is getting.

William had friends and family bring him birthday presents.

Masks and nerf guns were fun.

A big thank you for a family friend.

There was a family gift too, and Sam and Dad put it together.

It was a hit!!

Emily made lego cakes for his birthday cake.

I made a wild flower wreath for for Abbie, but it sort of fell apart.

And the big gift final reveal made the birthday boy very happyl

This little lady ate the entire bag of peas ... how fun is that

There was pizza too.

At church on Sunday, Emily took a minute to chat with young sister in the ward who is heading to Japan on her mission this coming week.

It was nice to be able to see Trevor when he sang with a quartet in his Stake Conference.

We went next door and visited with Sam's folks.

Sunday Art

Sam showed Dad how to use the Inversion table he uses for his back issues/
That night we participated in a virtual Finnish reunion with all the Aura era missionaries.
We hosted the office group room for part of the time, which was super fun.

So that was our week.  We hope yours was also memorable for good reasons.  We love you all and hope you will have a lovely Easter next week.
