Texas Talley Time

And we start the week with Titan's 13th birthday on Monday.

And a picture of Trevor he posted that reminds us of a famous English man who married a Finn and has been entertaining us for years with his Very Finnish Problems account on Instagram.
Of course, we woke up to lots and lots of our favorite Talleys that day as well.  Here are Johnny and Sam.

Abby and I collected eggs that day ...

and yes, it was cold in Texas .... brrr.
Tuesday was Halloween, so I will share the pictures of our grands that Dad collected on FB.
Starting with the Summers.

Then the Salt Lake City Perkins

The Spanish Fork Perkins

And the Pleasant Grove Perkins

and last of all a Meridian Mitko.

Followed by the adventures of the Texas Talleys .. mummy dogs for dinner.

Then tricking or treating around the square in Whitewright ... loved this father son robot pair.

Emily with hers.

Abbie in the middle with her friends.

Random Christian family at the church trick or treat ... I loved these.

Couldn't pass up a pic of these cute pioneer kids.

Dorothy does balloon painting.

our Lama Lover.

and her friend.

Loved this fairy garden in a neighborhood of old houses.

It was just magical.

This house was across the street and so tempting.  We very nearly called a realtor to show it to us.

Here's the back.  It's the same size as Broadstone, and the same asking price too, only 25 years later.

My favorite picture.  Johnny falls asleep with a friend.

Wednesday was antiquing in a neighboring town where I usually find lots of goodies. but not that day.

Johnny and Papa at Aldi's

We celebrated Johnny's birthday that night, as Sam could be there.

Bekie gets her own cake, gluten and dairy and unfortunately flavor free.

Grandma and Grandpa Talley join the fun.

Thursday is the big day at Canton.

We were so surprised by how many people our age rented these carts.  This guy made it an art with two following wagons.

But Dad is too buff for that.

I was so excited when I found the book from which my mother chose my name ... alas, it was just for display.

After junking all day, we got home in time to go to the Savoy High School football game.  Because the school is so small, they play with squads of 6, on a smaller field.  It was super interesting to me ... here the principal strolls the side lines.

While Emily visits with another teacher and her daughter.

chatting with a student.

Back at home we get out plates of homemade sushi ... yum, and thanks to our sushi chef.

Of course, Dad finishes up the day by writing in his journal.

Friday is Johnny's real birthday, thus Dad's collage.

Benny helps with making breakfast.

I spent the day junking locally, while Dad stayed home and slept off the cold he caught from me.
Emily brought  Bekie to me, after she got out of school.  Here she is petting a shop dog in one of the stores.  She thought that was very interesting.

She even found a toaster, which her mom had told me she needed to keep her from getting gluten contamination from toasting her gluten free toast in the family toaster.

No one can use this one by accident. But Becca's family might be envious for the Mickey toaster.

We had a great time.

Back at the house checking out adorable freckles.  These remind me of the ones Kimmy had as a youngster.

So cute, can you see Abbie's heart shaped freckle?

Bekie is so organized and has such a tidy room.

And we are off ... stopping at one antique store I have had good luck at in the past. It's about four hours into our trip.  Then here we are at the hotel in Albuquerque.

A favorite random rock in Utah.

Sorting the goodies,

And a picture of Ian, looking rather Princely.

Other than the fact that we were both sick, it was a good week.  Emily took excellent care of us, which we so appreciate, since we were really little to no help at all.  Loved seeing and interacting with the kids.
