And the week started with a laid back, quiet day. We worked around the house, and when, in the evening I saw that it was clean your desk day, thank you Sandra Boyton, I cleaned my desk.
Dad got started on the ceiling in the entry way, that he had planned for years to redo. Here' he cuts a new hole to move the light fixture so we can get more light than we've had from the single bulb.
The track to bring in the wire.
A couple of pics from the internet for fun. Davin and Bri's latest family shot ...
And an oldie reunion from ten years ago. The gals in the lighter blue are gone now, both high school friends, though Olive, next to me was in her forties when we were high school friends. She lived next to Linda, next to her, and was an amazing Young Women's leader. Now she and Linda and have passed away, So many wonderful times together, the other two, are Debbie and Debbie.
On Tuesday Ann and a neighbor of hers went with me to Mapledell up Payson Canyon. Ann had tried it out with still another friend last week and shared it with us.
A man came by on a bike with snow tires and took our picture for us.
And there was a view of the valley at the top. So pretty, though socked in with winter smog/
That evening we watcher Becca's kids as they went to see Hamilton. Reagan wanted to craft, so we found this wreath on my Pinterest page.
We cut strips of two sided paper, and made them into hearts.
Mac was fascinated with my 'kitchen corner' in my room.
The girls had so much fun making wreaths. When Dad went to take them home for bedtime, I stayed in Payson and used the time to do some crafting of my own to take to the antique mall the next day.
Here's my 'holiday' displays with the valentines crafts added in.
Valentines.
A shadow box.
A display of heart shaped cookie cutters.
Here's some fancy stacking he did to make this piece happen, as the jack didn't fit into the corner.
Of course working on the ceiling using Randy's sheet-rock jack to recover the ceiling in the entry was not as simple as he had hoped. He says theres a little difference between a 7 foot ceiling and a 10 1/2 foot ceiling, and it was a pain.
He also found time to donate platelets with Ashley.
On Thursday I stopped at DI on the way to work and found this fun little vintage English tea pot.
Another dealer, and former Finnish missionary, shows off his 1700's cradle, we don't get much in that is that old.
I took in my double wire laundry trolley to sell, as it was surplanted by the lovely little child's red bench that Aunt Joyce gave me for Christmas.
I loved this picture of Charlie, taken at a dance retreat in California and which was styled and photo graphed by a professional there. She turned 9 last month ...
and her cousin Reagan also turned 9 that day. Dad pasted this collage for her birthday.
Becca posted pictures of her birthday celebration.
Another fun post is this ones of Ashley's that just made me laugh.
On Friday Dad and I spent the day cleaning, and organizing and setting the table for a dinner with ward members.
I took apart an old Christmas wreath to use. The glitter ice skates had been hanging on the wreath in the garage, getting dusty for ten years. I also dug out the paper snow flakes I'd made in Finland for a winter wonderland theme.
I even polished up my pearl handled silverware to use, and weirdly enjoyed doing so.
Our guests were Crooks, Marshes and Kews.
Sister Marsh brought this beauty of a cake.
Then it was packing time ...
At the Salt Lake airport, on Saturday morning, I laughed about the child climbing on this art installment.
We arrived in Fort Lauderdale around four in the afternoon, and took this picture on our way out to dinner. Of course it was lovely and warm.
We dropped by an Anthropologie shop, which I always enjoy. What a great table.
On Sunday morning we tried to hook into a couple of different sacrament meetings in our hotel, without luck.
Then ended up watching our favorite guys doing Come Follow Me instead.
And NOW we are all left hanging!! Can't wait to hear about the trip !
