The ABCs of our Texas Trip

We had a lot of fun and did a lot of things in Texas with the Talleys this week.  We thought it would be fun to group the pictures with alphabetic captions. So hang on.

A is for Abigail reading books.

B is for bugs and butterflies, which William loves and which Bekie and I made. It’s also for blue belle ice cream.

C is for church where we attended the first full day and last full day of our trip

D is for Donuts on Saturday. It is also for documentaries. Emily loves them and showed us several about eating healthy.

E is for eggs which Emily can make expertly in several ways.  She also cooked us lots of healthy and delicious foods.  We loved it.

F is for fireflies which we got to see at dusk almost every night.

G is for the  giraffe named Abigail at the zoo.

H is for the historic commemoration celebration of the priesthood being extended to all worthy male members of the church.  I had gone to the temple the night before, where a young man of African decent was getting his endowments, and his whole extended family was there.  It was so beautiful, and I teared up. Thus I was very prepared to watch this wonderful presentation, and tear up lots more.

I is for Ike Eisenhower, whose birthplace we saw in the neighboring town of Denison. The bottom picture is of the bedroom where he was born.

J is for junking when the three oldest girls plus grandma Talley went to Canton for first Monday trade days on Thursday.

K is for the Kangaroos the boys Abby saw at the zoo.

L is for Lake Texoma where we all had a great day.

M is for a man outstanding in his field that Emily and I found when we were out garaging on Saturday.
N is for the nicest hot dogs ever, Sam grilled them tail gate style.

O for visiting Oklahoma for the first time for me,

when we drove over the dam on the Red River to visit lake Texoma from the Oklahoma side.

P is for pizza and play dough.

Q is for the Quiz app HQ that we played every night, combining out knowledge and learning trivia.  It was pretty fun.

R is for Reading.

S is for going to the splash pad and play ground.

T is for the temple, and for trains which I loved hearing many times each day, since the Talleys live close to the tracks.  The sound takes me back to my happy childhood which is always a good thing.

U is for Bekie the unicorn.

V us for vegging with grandpa

W is watermelon, which was delicious.

X is for our excitement in getting to know these grands after two years.

Y is for the yard where we put up the kids pool.

Z is for the Zoo where Papa and Sam took the younger kids while the older girls were gone junking to the flea market.
