Plays, Art and a New LDS Ward

So, at Conference a week ago today... Dad and I felt sure that we had found Emilia Kemppainen as the 'Finn' in the Tabernacle Choir, when Dad sent our choice to her husband Ami, (AH-ME) we were wrong.  I thought we were close.
Here she is in the blue dress, all pics are from her husband Ami Kemppainen, who is now the bishop of the International ward in Helsinki.  It's funny she is billed as Finnish, mainly because Emilia is Swedish.  We got to know them in the English Sunday School Class when serving our second mission.

Here she is with the Swede, and the American who hosted them.  Ami (Ah-me) was there with the kids to see her sing, he also had business in the area. We loved his parents when we lived in Finland, they took charge of us twice.  Once to spend the day in their home, and another time they took us to a hotel for lunch and sauna and cold lake plunges.

And speaking of Conference, here is a picture of Christ someone posted this week, but I cannot find the artist.  I think it the perfect 'older brother' picture, don't you?

And Sam changed the picture on his Insta-account, what a handsome family.

And while we're off topic, I ran across this fun photo from when President Oaks was the President at BYU.

On Tuesday Brady celebrated his 39th birthday for the first time!  And I, on the otherhand ...

I celebrated everything else, all day!  Here I meet up with Shirley and Kim at Gardner Village for witch's fest.

Aren't they just the cutest?

Lunch was included, and we loved meeting with a pair of the Gardner Village Witches.

Are they soooo fun?

Shirley did some AI portraits, that turned out sooo cute.

Don't you think? (Of course I sent them to the gals)

My avocado/crab salad was perfect.

My dress isn't that flattering when I slump, is it.

But AI took care of that, that added four pounds to my nose.

These are also my art friends, in case you didn't recognize them.

But this was my favorite AI of all.

Face book brought up a picture of the last time I was there.  And LOOK they moved the moon!!
When I stopped at Shirley, about a 1/2 mile from Becca's house, I got the Halloween decor tour.

She always does a great job,

How fun is her Halloween tree.

I always love a divided cupboard.

Shirley says good bye.

And because I hadn't met my quota of fun for the day, we met up with these Moes for dinner, And went to see this Play at the Ruth Theater in Pleasant Grove. I have to say I preferred the movie Mrs. 'Arris Goes to Paris, though the second half was stronger than the first.
I worked on Wednesday and put out some Christmas, putting away the 'no longer selling' Halloween goods.

Sadly, that is also the day that Katie, who runs fleaology now, decided to move it from this past Saturday to the Saturday when I am in Hawaii for Britt's birthday. The choice was made due to weather, but the day turned out great.

Dad went off to the temple Thursday, and the only picture I had at work for that day was this one of Pat and Keith chatting in the parking lot.  Yeah Treasures.

That night Penny and Trevor went to a BYU basketball preview.

On Friday Hannah celebrated her matching birthday.  She, Emily, Brady and Briahnna were all born the same year, within a few months of each other.  I like to think of them as the quadruplets I once dreamed I had.

On Friday Dad picked me up after I had worked the day at The Grove to go to see Eleanor as the nervy aunt in The Importance of Being Ernest, one of my favorite plays.  And let me tell you Eleanor did not disappoint; in fact she very nearly stole the show. Here's her fan club.

Flowers

Here she is in action.

She was great. It made me proud that 1/4 of her genes came from me!

Here I am with some of my girls, Becca and Eva.

Eva's polkadot coveralls are the cutest, don't you think?

These two probably weigh about the same so I am a little shocked that McKenna can pick up and hold Reagan

Two different ways.

There were Perkins and Summers and Groves, oh my.

Sisters

and Cousins

On Saturday Dad and I worked on getting the guest room in tip top shape for a Finnish Man that is coming tomorrow for a few days.

So that night Dad went to watch the BYU-Arizona game at Trevor's which turned out to be an exciting game.

It was a nail biter.

I stayed home and worked on framing and placing art.

I made a frame for her.

Can you find her and the print of the original she was painted after, that I already had on my Halo wall.

I made the tricky little 'shelf' to hold this ceramic piece.

Luckily, I had a frame that fit the dancing in the garden lovers ...

I added it to my house and garden wall.

I added more art to this wall, mostly prints.

And finished up this wall.  I found the painting in the oval frame of the house in a file I have for the house but have no idea where I got it.  I framed it and hung it with other paintings and art of the house, near the top of the wall.

This little Jesse Wilcox Smith girl was added to the other side of the house and garden walls that lead to the balcony doors.

In doing the guest room we thought we should add the Finnish Temple.

can you spot it?

Today Eleanor turned 15, this is Dad's collage for social media.

The shining cloud on Mt. Loafer made me think of the Second Coming this morning, it was MUCH brighter than seen here.

This is our last lesson for our Primary class, as we were divided out of our ward, at a meeting this evening at the stake center. Basically, we were added back to the area the 5th ward, our first ward in Payson, occupied, though it is now the 4th ward, with a bit more added to the east and the north.
