Changes for Papa

So, this week was one of change, especially for Dad.  He got a new car, a new calling, a new ward and he found out what is going on with his Aunt Karen which will lead to spending time with her in her new situation.

,
I just put a couple of the photos of Trevor and Nell's family helping to build a house in Southern Utah last week, so here are some more.

Pretty great pictures of a great family doing great things.

Fall also was in evidence last week.  Here you can see the Virginia Creeper turning colors through the lace curtains in the parlor.

But the weather was nice enough that I could take the cushion from our Swedish style couch outside to paint.

An account on Insta asked people to share they tiny galleries.

So, I sent these.

I'm loving that the Virginia Creeper has crept over to the cottage.

On Monday we drove to SLC to buy this car to replace Dad's totaled car.

Then we went to visit Aunt Karen at a Memory Care place in Lehi.

At first she didn't know us at all, then she looked at Dad and said, I think I know you, you were such a cute little boy.

When we went back to the car, we found it a little more difficult to find that we had hoped.

On Tuesday we had an appointment with the new Stake President, President Phillips, and Dad was called to be his Executive Secretary.  It's been keeping him busy ever since.

I worked on Wednesday and was jealous because Dad got to hang out with Parks, as Spencer had an appointment.

He took Parks to see Trevor at work.

Oon Thursday Dad worked at the Temple, and I flew to Hawaii with some of my girls to celebrate Brittany's 50th birthday.  I will be doing a separate blog post about the trip.

On Friday it was Brittany's big day, this is the collage that Dad put together for her.

On Saturday Dad went to Trevor and Nell's to watch the BYU game.  Here is Penny with Cam, because Spencer and Brittney's family came too.

After the game Dad headed to Wood Cross where he watched the North Front Sound Barbershop Chorus out of Ogden, and he is shown here with Bart Beuhl who he has known for 20 years. At that time they both were singing with the Saltaires.

On Sunday Dad got to go to our new ward for the first time.  The soon to be Stake Primary President invited him to come and sit with her family.

Then he and the Stake Presidency set apart all of the new High Counselors.
