Palm Springs Family Trip

Let the So Cal vacation begin, and thanks to those who sent me pics or posted pics from Disneyland on Monday. 

Those of my children who went with their families were; Brittany, Darby, Trevor, Davin, Emily and Becca ...

And while they were at Disneyland we, Dad, me, Ben and Hanna were driving to Palm Springs and stopped to meet my cousin Beki in Corona.   We've been FB friends for 5 years, So it wasn't like meeting for the first time at all.

We stopped and shopped when we got to PS and Ben found some serious deals. 

Hanna looked picturesque too. 

  

We met up with Spencer and Brittney when we arrived and grilled steaks and went swimming, but it was too dark for pictures. 

Brittney wore her cute black and white polka dot swim suit. 

Dad waited up until late handing out room keys ... Britt's family brought up the rear at 3:00 A.M. 

On Tuesday we started the day by convening in the pool.  Here are my girls in their black and white polka dot swim suits, too bad Brittney's was still wet from swimming with us the night before.

That night Davin, Bri and Darby bought a tower of pizzas to share !!! 

Yummy!! And tossed salad too!! 

We met in Trevor-Brittany's shared unit. 

On Wednesday morning I went on a pokemon walk. 

And had a daughter spotting when I got back.

We went to a couple of movies that day ... Some went to see a guy flick. The rest saw The Secret Lives of Pets ... 

Our group made up the whole audience  ... It really took the pressure off. 

Back at the condos eating brats and salads that Britt and Trevor's condo provided. More yum!!

And then there were games. 

Thursday morning begins our last full day at the condos. 

Dad and I went to breakfast at Brittany's invitation.  

Happy Kai!  The meatballs weren't the yummiest, to this meat ball connoisseur ... But Mike was equal to his stack!! 

Darby and Madison bonded. Darby calls her 'my squishy'. 

How sweet!! 

Then Emily and I were off to shop for our Asian dinner night ... I made orange chicken and faux Panda Express Chowmein, Spencer and Brittney made 150 of the yummiest pot stickers and Emily made sushi ...

We reconvened at Becca-Ben's condo for games and eating up all of Ben and Hannah's fresh fruit stash!! 

I caught this new to me Pokemon ... Hannah helped!! 

We finished up around 1:30.  

On Friday we headed home via Arizona so we could ....

Stop at the Phoenix Temple to see Ryan and Tia married for all eternity. 

What a beautiful eternal family. It brings tears to my eyes!! 

Then we, along with Benannah and Darby drove and drove ... By sunset Dad was such a driving machine he was breathing fire!  We didn't get home until 4:00 A.M.  Yawn ....

Emily stopped by the St George temple with her children after dropping Sam at the airport in Las Vegas. 

We were thrilled when she decided to stay with us for a few days and arrived about 6 

Trevor and Nell came with a load of furniture and boxes about 9:30. 

Sunday morning Bekie made our bed for service. Sweet girl. 

Both of the older kids enjoyed the fruits of having a freezer in our room. In this case it was pineapple (sherbet) 

We attended our new ward, Mountainview 7th. I sat next to the Ward   Relief Society President who is very nice. 

We left partway through Sunday School to go to Jack and Shamaine Mason's Ward.  I guess they have great gardens there. 

They had two missionaries coming back and one going out. We knew several people in their Ward and the meeting was amazing.

After naps and Emily's yummy curry we headed to the band concert. 

The kids seemed to have fun!! For me it was the perfect end to a perfect week.
