A Very Merry Christmas

Monday was lovely, since Spencer and Brit spent the night after Bethlehem dinner.  Here is Dad first thing with Van.

Here he is sneaking in a morning nap with his Mom.

We all finished up tasks for Christmas that day, then went to dinner, along with Darby, before driving through the 'Pond Town' Christmas display, in Salem for the first time in the almost 20 years we've lived in Payson.

Spencer and Brit's family put on their matching PJs ...

and we watched Its a Wonderful Life to finish off Christmas Eve.
Spencer and Brittney had never seen it, crazy eh?
Then suddenly it was Christmas morning.  Spencer came up to fetch us about 8:00 that morning.  Here are Brittney and Van in front of the settee set up with socks and gifts for the baby and the dog.

Presents, presents everywhere.

Van finally got into opening presents.

I thought this classics for tots was a lot of fun. I especially liked this P and P, that is a counting book.  I kind of wanted one, until I found our it would be $38 for the set. (They'd found the set at Cosco for $10)
Here's the messy aftermath.

Dad got me some Pioneer Woman goodness, and I was able to finish the change out above my cupboards from white to wonderful.
Then we built out own breakfast burritos.
There was working on a puzzle too.
Selfies are important too.

Then it was time for a family lunch …. Brady stunned us both by showing up Piirakkas he had made.  He found the recipe on line, and Becca found the rye flour.  It was such a lovely thought. Oh and they were yummy too.
Hannah seemed to love the shoes Becca got for her.

… and they even made her as tall as Darby.

… and how cute is this, she even matched her Christmas presents.

Becca found Dad's favorite candy in a giant size.

Then it was time for Christmas lunch.

and opening a few exchange gifts.

It was so great to see some people we don't get to see too often.  I can't believe I have grandchildren this old.

 Hello little guy,
Just as an aside, I laughed and laughed when I heard that Brady had gotten more than a hundred pair of new socks for Christmas.  I guess he has a footish fettish.

Here's a couple of Christmas day pictures from Texas.

On Wednesday I went back to work.  Dad went skiing with Spencer.

On Thursday Dad went to the temple, and I did a half day at the antique mall.  Then we headed to Idaho.

We got to Brittany's about 9, and watched a movie before going to bed. This picture was taken the next morning, as Charlie and a classmate, who is also one of Britt's babysitees, read together.
Dad and I headed out to check out a shop in near by Nampa, called the Milking Barn, it was a lot of fun.

It's such a cute shop.

We got to go and pick up Kai from his swim practice while Britt had a hair appointment.
On Saturday Dad went off to go skiing with Kai and Alex at Bogus Basin.

I got to go to a couple of local antique stores.  This was my favorite booth at the Antique World Mall in Boise.  Look at my adorable personal shopping assistant.
She was such a good sport.
She found lots of ways to entertain herself.

On Sunday we were off to church, and when we got home we got to watch the new Jumanji and then played Alex's new Jumanji game with him.

Darby, along with friends and family members moved into her new house on Saturday.

After the game Britt made us potstickers and sauces.

Last of all she made us an amazing dinner of fish tacos and coconut, lime, cilantro rice …. yes  yum.  We're off tomorrow morning for Utah.  Hope you all had a lovely Christmas week. and we hope yours was lovely as well.
