3 Hospitalizations a Birthday Party and a Reunion

This was a flat out crazy week, filled with laughter and celebration as well as pain and frustration.
It started on Monday with Emily eating out twice in 4 hours. I picked her and Abbie up in Provo  after she had lunch with a college roommate.   Then we did some junking before stopping for dinner at Zupas prior to ....
Dropping them at the airport to head home.  😕
She sent this cute picture of her kids showing off their side mouth talking skills on Tuesday.
I spent the morning gardening with  my newly acquired employees.  They had herb tea on the porch afterwards.

Afternoon I took party lights up to Trevor's and took cafe rio to Ashley's family for the night before her surgery.

Of course dad headed to do his shift at the temple after work.

I worked on Wednesday, as usual. Listing on the ROCC site.
After work dad picked me up and we stopped for flowers before heading to Salt  Lake and the LDS hospital, where we visited with Ashley, she'd had a benign tumor the size of half a cantaloupe removed, along with a few unused parts. Fortunately it was mostly done laparoscopically, in hopes of a faster recovery.

We had a bit of a visit, but she was pretty uncomfortable.  Andy was taking good care of her, though.
On Thursday Nell got to go in with Trevor for her first round of Chemo.  Unfortunately it had the expected effect and she was miserable for the rest of the week.
I was working again Thursday and made some of these fence post signs for Fleaology.

I thought they turned out pretty cute!!

Later in the day I ran over to the Stauffers outlet to stock up Ashley's freezer with meals.  Dad came by around 6 and delivered the frozen meals to her house while I ran home to change for the pool party for Adi's birthday in Spanish that night
3 generations of Perkins at Favin and Bri's community pool
Some Summers swimming smoothly!

Cousin Katie came too !!  Yeah!
And here's the birthday girl with her other grandpa.
And here we all join in Katie's selfie.  Thanks for joining us Katie!!  (She just moved into UVU housing where she has a golf scholarship. We're so proud of her!).
Back at the house ....
There was cake and ice cream  and a piñata!
Look at that girl swing!!
Meanwhile Spencer and Brittney did what they could to quiet things down at Trevor and Nell's house. ...  I think Rainbow Ice was the culprit here!!

On Friday I headed off to Salt Lake to get the shirts I'd ordered for the reunion at Trevor's, including one for Katie and one for Darby's friend, Phil.

Next I headed to Ashley's for a visit, before picking up groceries for the Dutch oven dinner we were doing for the opening meal if the reunion.
We were greeted by the results of much work on Trevor's part in prep for the reunion.
Here's our completed layered chicken enchiladas, they are topped with corn bread!
Here's everyone except Kim, Ian, Emily's family, Nell, Darby and Phil.  Phil was driving out to move to Utah (from Florida) when he got an abscess in and around an arm muscle. An emergency room in the midwest somewhere gave him pain meds he could drive with because he had no one local to care for him there. As soon as he got here Darby took him to the hospital, and missed most of the reunion herself. Poor Phil!  He's still in the hospital, but it was nice that Ashley was able to share the evening!!

We had a talent show, fireworks and a movie (Dan in Real Life) projected on the garage door before sleeping in tents.

On Saturday we were up for the 5k and 1/2 mile. Davin won the 5k!! Trevor stayed home to take care of his Nell.

After the run there were water games and then lunch.  There is a post about just the reunion with lots of pictures

Dad and I headed home after cleanup and had a nice nap that afternoon. Then we headed back to PG for their town fireworks watched from the cemetery across from Trev's
Ohouse.
Brittany, who stayed over a couple of days, had sparklers for the kids.  ThenTrevor  had made a cobbler for us afterwards ...
These cuties came to the door to kiss us goodbye!!
Today was a normal church day  with naps in the afternoon and Spencer and Brittney joining us for dinner bringing the asparagus wrapped in bacon and corn bread. Yum!!

After dinner we all attended a missionary meeting at the church before Dad and I headed to Highland ...

Here we all are after playing hand and foot. Randy and Robin show the victory signs, while the rest of us have Ls on our foreheads!! Lots and lots of laughs!  So grateful for these dear friends.

So that was our insane week. Prayers for Nell, Ashley  and Phil would be so very appreciated.
