Eva's Graduation

On Monday we finally got together with the Crumps for lunch at Mi Rancherito.  They just got their mission call to Nauvoo... now we're trying to figure out how to go see them there.

On Tuesday Dad headed up to Darby's to finish the trim on the top of the cabinets he put in for her two years ago.

And it looks great.

Then she made him a nice lunch.  How nice is she?

That night we went to Nadines for dinner and Hallmark ... this was possibly the worst Hallmark we have ever seen. But it was great getting together.

On Wednesday Dad and I headed up to the Marriott Center for Eva's graduation!

Here she goes.

This is Avery, Eva's bestie.

Afterward there were pictures of course.

Eva's family
All of us.

A little upside-down Eva.

Eva and friends.

Our girl.

Eva and Avery.

And here are the Vikings: Viewmont, Pleasant Grove and Bonneville Jr.

On the way home I had Dad stop so I could see the new location of the tiny art gallery in Provo.

Then we headed back north to help Eva celebrate.

We loved the grad art on her car.

Becca and her family came to help celebrate.

Nell's table length charcuterie was amazing.

Father and son.

Eva and her friends ...

More family shots. We just missed Davin and Bri and their family who were just pulling in as we headed out.

We went to dinner at Chubby's, with Becca's family, it's been a while for us.

On Thursday I got this painting that I got last weekend framed and hung in the Carriage house.

The frame is fabulous on this one, and so very, very old. After I got done with them, I headed into the antique mall to put in a couple of boxes of books. I still have another 25 boxes to deal with, and I need the carriage house cleared in time for our family dinner the second Sunday in June.  Dad spent his day at the temple, as is usual for Thursday and we met at home in time to share dinner.
This bit of abstract art is a photo my phone took in my pocket.  There were several, but I liked this one best.  Hahahaha.

I had Dad screen shot this when he found that Spencer and Britt and their family spent the weekend in Japan at Tokyo Disneyland.  How fun is that?

And here's an old picture I found of Kim, so, so fun.

And an even older one of Grandpa Carlo that Uncle Kelly sent to Dad this week.

I headed to book club after dinner.  KD hosted and we discussed The Girl With No Name. This is Carolyn and Suzanne.

There we ten of us altogether.

On Friday we took our 'widows' to dinner.  They are Marie, Tina and Nadine.

A good time was had by all.

I took a picture of the beautiful sky with this tree, for one last hurrah.  It will be cut down sometime this week, the second of the four big Cottonwoods to go.

Rick sent Dad this picture of Aunt Cheryl's grave marker. We kind of chuckled when we read Favorite Daughter, Favorite Sister and Favorite Aunt.

On Saturday we went to Spring City for the historic home tour and art sale.  This is the spring for which the city is named.

So many of the homes had lots of great art.

Loved the door on this cabin.

We went to the Art Squared auction ... loved this sheep.

And this artist had several, but all were bid too high for me.

I did bid twice on this painting but was outbid in the end.  It is by the same gal from whom I bought the larger painting at the Art and Soup show.

I have one of these cardboard houses from the early 1900's, but I have never seen another one.

And this is the cutest little garden house ever.  It was originally built for a Christmas Tree Lot.  I think it's just perfect.

After dinner that night we watched the Jane Austen Book Club, and I was surprised at how much this actor (On the right) looks like the first counselor in our stake presidency.

At church today, John Carter showed Dad the Secret Service Pin that my brother Clark gave to him.  John has done a lot of plumbing work for Clark over the years.  Small world, eh?

After church we packed up and headed to Idaho.  So great to see Britt and the kids.  Mike is in California for a family memorial service.  We played games with Charley and we all won, Charley won the first game of Clue, then Dad won the second game of Clue, and I won in a very, very close game of Sorry.  Yep, that's how exciting out week is.  We are here for Alex's graduation on Wednesday.
