Becca sent pictures of Madi and Mac with their 'build-a-bears' that they chose with their birthday money from us ... love the giant Pikachu ...
Mac's Teddy Bear reminds me a bit of Teddy Ruxpin, which I am sure it's not, I am just old school like that.
Trevor talking to Nell and her adorable charge while she babysat Parks in DC this week.
Is there anything sweeter than a sleeping baby that you love?
Sightseeing.
Tuesday Dad, at home working on the former doorway to the staircase outside that we filled in early on.
We're getting close to the painting stage.
I worked at the Grove on Tuesday and this cutie came in doing Christmas shopping. She was so pleased with the glassware she found for her mother that I asked if I could get a picture.
We have liked our rainbows in the parlor so much that after Robin talked about getting some crystals for her windows, I decided to hang a crystal necklace in my bedroom window. I laughed that this made it look like there was a rainbow in this painting.
Working at the Grove Tuesday I found this adorable metal Christmas tree display and decided to use it to display these pinecone elves of Julie's that I had glued back together. I actually own one that belonged to my family. So fun. This picture is from Wednesday at Treasures.
Spencer got to work with the folks in India that do Sesame Street there. Looks like he's feeling the love.
And somewhere in Texas, this not so little girl got an award at school.
On Wednesday Dad moved the rest of Julie's stuff, and the stuff I bought on the trip to West Virginia into the garage. All that is left is these sheep skins that are airing out so I can sell them. We're getting closer to Thanksgiving and there much to do.
When a gal came into Treasure's on Thursday, she was looking for a metal railing to put in front of her display for a Creche festival in Midway. This is her inspiration piece.
I went home and measured this railing and texted her the picture. She said it would be great. We agreed that she could pick it up at the Grove on Friday.
Also that day, I put a few of Julie's items together for possible sale.
Then, I opened a little bag and found a Finnish Stamp, and two bee charms. As much as I love bees, I can't help but thing she was thinking of me when she put them together. It's been so fun to think about her while I sort and price her precious stuff.
The gal came in to get the railing on Friday at the Grove.
I am sure you can imagine it in front of this display.
I took my completed globe with the Santa and sleigh I had put together the night before and put it in this display spot when I worked at The Grove. It might sound like almost all that I did this past week was work and that is true: 2 days at The Grove and 2 days at Treasures.
On Saturday this girl had a swim meet, and these people were there to cheer her on.
Then after the BYU away game, they all went to Milagros to take the sting off. The man you don't know is Nell's uncle Bob.
Brittney and Parks flew in, and Angela picked her up at the Provo airport and went by to see Trevor and Nell to pick up her car before driving to Angela's home in Saratoga Springs.
Dad and I met up with some Moes and Heuers to see the movie Wicked for the first time. We also ran into Stina and her girls, that was fun.
We went to MiRanchito in AF afterwards for dinner.
Here we are at Church this morning. The kids made paper barges, as we were learning about the Jaredites.
Then we had a slow 'race' with them going as slow as they could to represent the whole year it took to get to the promised land.
Below are some favorite pictures I found while looking for other things this week. Enjoy your trip down memory lane.
Is Eli wishing he had hair like Kai? Then his wish for sure came true.
Freaky moment, it's the shadow of the blinds in our apartment in Helsinki
Adorable, does anyone remember who the baby is?
Here's an oldie, probably on our first trip to Hawaii with them, maybe 94.
What's not to love here?
Cute girls in cute sweater dresses.
The stars of our hearts.
"And don't forget we have fun when we're together!"
A Christmas long ago.
My favorite witchy picture, Me, Ginny Taylor, Raelene DeWitt and Andrea Robertson.
I hope you all had fun making special memories this past week as well.
