And this is how our week began ... Dad and I had painted together on Saturday, but on Monday he got right in and finished it up himself ...
Well, he did have a little help from this sweetheart.
While they were hard at it, I was off to play with Dad's cousin Kathy. She made arrangements at our yard sale last week to go and see the home of an Instagram friend who'd come.

I love these wonderful art deco beauties that belong to my new friend Pat Stika, she owns a 1920's home in Provo that she is rehabbing, Pat and I have been Instagram friends for a while.
She also collects original art, and has this painting, I thought Trevor and Nell might recognize it.
She went to one of Mary Engelbriet's workshops and made this.
Here are Pat, Kathy and Me ... Pat also has a Perkins line in her family tree, so we joked about being cousins. She even served us mixed berry short cake ... yum
This is her porch, and I'm thinking that it would be a perfect treatment for our porch. Its terracotta tiles set in cement.
On Tuesday Dad and I put the bedroom back together adding the pictures and busts we'd been saving of various prophets and temples.
That night we met the Moes for dinner at Sizzler and ran into the Colemans and their daughter Paige at the Hale Center Theater in Orem. What are the chances their seats were directly in front of us. The play was the Million Dollar Quartet, about one night when Elvis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis had a jam session at Sun Records. Lots and lots early Rock and Roll.
On Wednesday I brought in my diamond mullioned paned window that has been in my possession for 15 years! Its crazy to say goodbye.
A few more tweaks as I rework and add a few things.
And as you see I brought in my green clock collection as well.
Then Wilma came in, she's another Instagram follower. As we were chatting we were amazed at how much we have in common. Its almost ridiculous to me how many good friends I've made between my blog years ago, and now Instagram. Which includes my entire art group.
On Thursday Nikki brought in this bottle of Green Elixer ...as a nod to 'Wicked'.
Becca and Hannah spent some time at the park that day, and threw some Frisbee.
Here are some of the little jars I had in the kitchen before our first mission, that I ran across in the garage, while we were cleaning.
Here's a picture, that also happened on Thursday, of Megan Greeting Austin, as he returns from his mission on Thursday ... I know that he will be a great comfort to Megan, as she continues to deal with the death of her son Noah last week.
On Friday Dad and I finished cleaning out and sorting the stuff in the garage, then we took a third full load to DI.
That night we went to the Salem Community Theater's production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. It was fun to see Matthew Mason as one of the brothers.
He had a ball, and this is his on stage wife ...
On Saturday, Darby came down with Zach, and as we were ready to leave for California Dad noticed our neighbor chickens roosting on our saw horses ... we love them
Becca and her family left for California three hours before us, but stopped to see the 7 Magic Mountains, show here with Mac. When their car got locked with no one inside.
They spent three hours there, until the lock smith finally found them. They did meet nice people who let them sit in their air conditioned car for an hour and a half ... Becca says they gained a new set of grandparents.
So as we were getting gas in Barstow, Dad looked across a very wide, multi-lane road and recognized these folks, who were now on track with us ...
Here we are at our hotel.
So the silver lining of Becca and Brady's later arrival is that we could all go to dinner together ... Mac really, really liked the salsa.
Here's the whole gang.
Can you tell I loved the rest room walls at the Mexican place?
and this is my Disney Land ....
A Flea Market outside of LA ...
Not sure what Trevor was doing, as a lot of us went to the real Disneyland on Sunday.
Alex met a new friend, his family went to Disneyland for four days ... not sure which day this was.
Here's the whole Perkins gang who went to Disneyland.
Here's mixing it up with some nice subgroups.
Meanwhile the Talleys were at the beach.
Here's some of our favorite beach combers.
Trevor and Nell's family didn't leave until Monday, so they were able to go to Austin's homecoming, which we all appreciated, since we would all
be missing the Noah's funeral.
This is the end of the formal blog as these princesses kiss us goodbye.
This is a dress I ordered off-line for my mission ... just for fun.
