This girl got her mission call.
This is a map of her mission, The California, Roseville Mission.
and the call itself.
I've really been at it, working on it for a couple of hours whenever I could.
It was in such impossible condition.
Here it is now, after spending 6 hours on it this week.
much tidier.
But I intend to put a couple of pieces of storage furniture here, instead of this pile.
At work on Wednesday, I decided to take this base cabinet,
and this upper cupboard together, painting the base to match the old green cupboard, and it will be put in the craft room to replace the cluttered pile of furniture that is there now, it will hopefully provide enough accessible storage space to keep the room tidier.
More importantly, we found out that Trevor was in the hospital, with serious digestive issues, sepsis, and heavy intravenous antibiotics. Yikes
At work on Wednesday, I got to wrap up a huge vase, by cutting a custom, if irregularly shaped box,
After Dad got home from the temple we headed over to see Trevor at the hospital in AF. He was pretty miserable.
I had book club at Sandy's that night.
There were actually 12 of us there.
We discussed the book Indigo Girl, which was a fictionalized true story that took place in the 1700s in South Carolina.
Mary and I got to LA around 8 P.M. to stay with her friend Diana for the weekend. She is shown here, at Dinner at Mary's Sisters house on Saturday evening, after we had spent the day antiquing. Her home and the meal were lovely.
Here is Mary's sister Lisa, who made a lovely vegetarian meal for us all.
On Saturday Dad participated in the annual Youth Harmony Day with the Saltaires at Highland High School. This year they had 280 kids come for the day. They consumed 75 Costco pizzas. Between food, rental of the high school, flights for the coaches, hotels, T-shirts and coaching fees the chorus spent about $7,200. But the kids had a blast!
Here is just the girls chorus, about 200 voices strong.
Thanks Spencer and Parks for coming to Dad's concert.
The next day I headed up this walk on the Pasadena City College Campus to a flea market they have been holding since our Ashley was born. (1977)
I thought this guy's 'Hood Ornament' was interesting. I found a lot of books, and other goods that I will show you next week. If you can't wait, I'll be posting it on my Instagram Account later tonight, Flea.o.logy
After the market we drove over to Forest Lawn, where Mary left flowers for her mother. It's a lovely cemetery.
Trevor got out of the hospital in time to go to Penny's school play, Hercules.
She played Aristotle and was one of two youth leads. So much support.
She did a great job.
Hmmm
Taking their bows.
Way to go Penny.
Afterward they all went to dinner.
It was a great week, and we are all so grateful Trevor is feeling more like himself again.
We hope that you are all healthy and happy as well.
and what a milestone for Eva!
